My journey in coffee started with a simple love for the bean all the way back to 1994 when I arrived in Australia as a backpacker and discovered the coffee culture in Sydney—I worked in cafes all over town honing my coffee making skills, and in 1999 I moved up to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains and set up the first roastery cafe. in 2015 I sold up and after a little break I entered the world of green coffee with Origin Coffee Traders in Sydney. After 6 years I felt it was time to go it alone and provide roasters with a unique model of coffee sourcing, which is how Mano Coffee Traders was born.

I’ve built Mano to connect Australian roasters with the world’s finest green coffee, sourced directly from farmers I trust in places like Brazil, Colombia, and India. What drives me? It’s about stripping away the complexity of coffee trading to deliver what matters: quality beans, fair prices, and a process that’s as transparent as it gets. That’s why I trade in USD to cut out hidden fees, focus on full container loads for cost efficiency, and work only with origins where I’ve got boots-on-the-ground partners ensuring top-notch quality, a consistent product and reliability. Whether it’s curating your perfect container or guiding you through the import process, I’m here to make sourcing coffee straightforward, sustainable, and a little bit personal. When I’m not chasing the perfect bean, you’ll find me on my Triumph motorbike exploring the amazing country side, or chilling at home cooking, my other passion.
